Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and outgoing Barista to join our team! In this role, you will welcome guests and prepare their coffee orders. Your goal is to ensure patrons enjoy their drinks and time at The Gathery. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests into The Gathery with a smile
- Take food and beverage orders
- Explain the menu items to guests
- Create a variety of espresso-based drinks, from basic to more complex
- Enter orders into the POS system with accuracy and efficiency
- Bus tables and wipe down surfaces
- Maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines
- ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain shortly after hiring
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
